High quality prints of art used in the enormous lantern floats of the renowned and historical summer festival in Aomori Prefecture, the NEBUTA festival, compiled by Aomori’s Hirosaki University. The floats of the Nebuta Festival, which have a history dating back to the feudal era, are extraordinarily large painted lanterns paraded down the street, pulled by dozens of men. Each year, new paintings are prepared for the festival, with the previous paintings being discarded and lost to history.
