The Ishiguro School was active in late Edo, working in soft metal with themes of birds, flowers, nature and animals for sword fittings and blade weapons.  This beautiful book presents the 6 major members of the school and gives a couple pages to a family member who was a well respected painter. With English descriptions for each piece, this books is divided into 4 chapters, has a glossary and more articles about the school’s descendants. Includes great details photos of these very small and meticulous works.
